Over the past year the Company has developed and expanded its range of prescription and consumer dermatological products to create a total range for the treatment and management of acne, psoriasis and eczema. This Dermatology range is promoted by a specialist dermatology sales force to dermatologists, doctors and pharmacists to offer patients a number of contact points for the care of mild to severe skin conditions.
In line with the Company's market leadership in dermatology, Ascent launched its first new range of organic skincare products under the “Dermorganics” brand to meet the growing consumer demand for organic based products. This new brand of skincare developed by the company is produced by a local Australian manufacturer using certified organic ingredients.
The Asian businesses of Ascent are headquartered in Singapore where the company is the country’s largest generic pharmaceutical supplier. The Asian operations include sales offices in Malaysia and Vietnam and partner operations in Hong Kong, Thailand, Myanmar and Brunei.
The Singapore operations include a local manufacturing facility that manufactures prescription and OTC products sold in Singapore and Malaysia and also for export to Australia.
Ascent’s Asian businesses are leading suppliers on national public tenders as well as to local private clinics in the countries where they operate. The operations predominantly sell and distribute a range of Australian and European regulated prescription pharmaceuticals that provide high quality and competitive prices to the emerging Asian pharmaceutical marketplace.
